About Crystal
Crystal’s journey in the beauty industry started over 25 years ago. First as a hair and makeup artist at glamour photography studios, then as a licensed cosmetologist behind the chair. She had an interest to elevate her skills so she joined Joico International as a hair color educator.
She built on the wide array of knowledge gained by joining Joico International receiving and teaching top of the line instruction for 15 years. Crystal’s tenure at Joico elevated her knowledge and technique in hair cutting, color and presentation while creating opportunities to collaborate with and glean from top professionals in the beauty and fashion industry. Through these experiences inspiration led her to seek out knowledge and training in production and photography.
Crystal realized her creativity was stifled by sharing her time with the corporate world. She stepped fully into the beauty industry by opening a studio hair color salon with space for photoshoots that allowed her to build an extensive portfolio that opened the door for collaborations in production. She has worked in film internationally and domestically.
She has an impressive list of commercial clients (that is not limited to) Tommie Copper, Mattel, Nutrisystem and Marriott.
Over the last 10 years she’s had a heavy presence in live television lending her talents to Super Bowl LIV on Shakira’s hair team, on Home Shopping Network, with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and most currently with All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
Crystal is a member of IASTE, Local 798 (International Alliance of Stage Theater Employees) for hair. She has dual residence in Florida and Georgia and travels as a television/ film freelancer. She added photography to her toolbox to round off her efficacy in the beauty and production industries. She has attained a vast collection of period wardrobe and props available for rent for film and photography projects (1920’s -1970’s). Education remains at the heart of who Crystal is, so she independently offers classes related to the beauty industry.
